Serial Numbered® (“Serial Numbered,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website serialnumbered.com, our Houston flagship store at 3220 Bingle Rd, Houston, TX 77055, our live card break streams on eBay Live and Whatnot, and our associated social channels (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
By visiting our website, shopping in-store, joining a live break, submitting cards for appraisal or consignment, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address
- Account information: username, password, order history, wish lists, saved payment methods (tokenized by our payment processor)
- Order and transaction details: items purchased, break spots reserved, sale price, shipping preferences
- Appraisal and consignment submissions: photos or descriptions of cards submitted through our free appraisal form or consignment program, estimated value discussions, and any grading history you share (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC)
- Sell-your-cards submissions: contact details, card images, and offer/negotiation history
- Communications: messages you send via our contact form, phone, text, live chat, DMs on Instagram/Facebook/TikTok, or comments during live breaks
- Reviews and testimonials: name, location, and content of reviews you submit or authorize us to publish
- Franchise inquiries: contact and business background information submitted through our franchise interest form
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time on page, and click behavior
- Cookies and similar technologies: session and persistent cookies used for shopping cart functionality, login sessions, site preferences, analytics, and advertising (see Section 4)
- Approximate location data: derived from IP address for shipping estimates, currency, and localized market/inventory content
1.3 Information From Third Parties
- Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Square) confirm payment status; we do not store full card numbers
- Shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) provide delivery confirmation and tracking status
- eBay, Whatnot, and Fanatics Live provide order and buyer information when you purchase through a break or listing hosted on those platforms
- Grading companies (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC) may confirm submission status for cards sent for grading on your behalf
- Social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google) provide aggregated ad performance and audience data when you interact with our ads or content
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Process and fulfill orders, break spots, consignment sales, and appraisal requests
- Communicate about orders, shipping, live break schedules, and appraisal/consignment status
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Send marketing communications (email and SMS) about new inventory, market reports, and promotions, where you’ve opted in
- Verify identity and prevent fraud on high-value transactions, including VIP room appointments
- Improve our website, inventory selection, market reports, and live break formats
- Analyze site traffic and advertising performance
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
- Evaluate and respond to franchise inquiries
We do not use your appraisal photos or card images for purposes beyond evaluating and fulfilling your request unless you separately authorize their use (for example, in a testimonial or market report).

- Service providers: payment processors, shipping carriers, email/SMS marketing platforms, website hosting (WordPress/WooCommerce), and customer support tools — solely to operate the Services
- Live commerce platforms: eBay Live, Whatnot, and Fanatics Live, when you transact through a break or listing hosted there
- Grading companies: when you authorize us to submit cards on your behalf
- Professional advisors: accountants, insurers, and legal counsel, as needed
- Legal and safety purposes: to comply with a subpoena, court order, or law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Serial Numbered, our customers, or others
- Business transfers: if Serial Numbered is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (including in connection with franchise expansion), customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functions: shopping cart, checkout, login sessions (WooCommerce/WordPress)
- Analytics: Google Analytics to understand site traffic and performance
- Advertising: Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel to measure and improve ad targeting on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

Opting out of marketing messages does not opt you out of transactional messages related to an active order, break, or appraisal request.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to:
- Fulfill the purpose it was collected for (e.g., completing an order or consignment)
- Comply with tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
Appraisal and consignment photos not resulting in a transaction are retained only as long as needed to complete the evaluation, unless you authorize longer retention (for example, for a market report feature).
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising (we do not sell data, but we do use advertising cookies that some state laws classify as “sharing”)
- Limit use of sensitive personal information
- Appeal a denied privacy request
This includes rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and similar laws in states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah, as applicable to you.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where required, we treat a valid GPC browser signal as a request to opt out of sharing for cross-context advertising purposes.

While Serial Numbered is based in Houston, Texas and primarily serves U.S. customers, if you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your data based on one or more legal bases: your consent, performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), or our legitimate interests in operating and improving our Services. International orders may involve transferring your information to the United States for processing.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for users 18 years of age or older, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us personal information, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information to us should contact us using the details in Section 12.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted checkout (SSL/TLS), tokenized payment processing (we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers), and restricted internal access to customer data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Services link to and integrate with third-party platforms, including eBay, Whatnot, Fanatics Live, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Linktree.
